This is my dad with a UKC registered B&T, when he was 14 years old. Grandpa had a good coondog and he bought this pup for my dad to get him started. Unfortunately this dog never made a coondog and that was the end of Dad's involvement in coonhunting. It was an accident that I got into B&T's, some 35 years later. |

This is Grandpa in the late 30's with his dog, "Purp". Purp was a grade redbone. I heard alot of coonhunting stories growing up. One of the stories had Purp battling a coon out in deep water and getting the worse end of the deal. Grandpa waded out in the water and clubbed the coon with this rifle. He saved his dog but broke the stock in this rifle. I now have the rifle and it still shows where repairs were made.

This is my 1st ever nite hunt win in 1992. It was a 4th place win at a B&T Sectional in Bourbon, MO. Rose went on to also be the first dog I finished to Nite Champion.

This is NtCh Davis' Midnite Sam. Sam was Hunziker bred and the first decent coondog I had.

Davis' Screaming Pete. Pete was the first B&T I ever had. He was a grade pup and I later got him single registered. I entered him in several hunts, and attended B&T Days a couple times with him. I never won a cast. I have little doubt to this day he was the loudest dog I was ever in the woods with. He was also an extremely hard wide hunting dog. I wasn't too tempted at the time to raise pups out of him but his mouth and hunt would be valued traits, today.
